目薬の使い方（英語で説明の仕方のポイント）

薬剤師としてはたらいていると、目薬くらいつかいかたわかるでしょ？

なんて思ってしまいますが、

患者さんにどうやって使うのですか？ときかれることがあるということは

意外と使い方を（目薬のさしかた）をしらなかったりするんですね。

毎日毎日　目薬をだしている私にとって当たり前のことも、患者さんにとっては当たり前ではないということついつい忘れてしまい　反省です。

１）目薬の使い方の説明

１）Wash hands 　手を洗ってください

２）Carefully remove the bottle cap　点眼ボトルのキャップをとってください

３）Tilt head back 頭を後ろにかたむけてください

４）While your eyes are open,gently pull down on the lower eyelid to form a pouch with one hand.Hold eye drop almost horizontally in your other hand ,approaching your eye form the side　

目を開けたままで下まぶたをそっと下に引っ張ってポーチを作ってください。もう一方の手で目薬を目の端のほうにもってきてください。

5) Hold the tip near the eyelid but at least 2.5cm(1 inch) away.Do not touch the lids or lashes with the tip of the bottle.

目薬の先端を目から約２．５cmはなしておいてください。先端がまぶたやまつげにあたらないようにしてください

6）Look upwards by moving your eyes only.Instil one drop into the pouch of the lower eyelid.Hold this position to let the drop fall as deeply as possible into the pouch

上をみながら目薬を１滴、下まぶたのポーチにさしてください。そのままで目薬が浸透するのをまっていてください。

7）Look down for several seconds and then slowly release the lower lid.

数秒下を見てそれから下まぶたを引っ張るのをやめてください

8）Gently close the eyes for at least 30 seconds and dab away the excess eye drop fluid with at tissue.

そっと目を閉じてください（３０秒以上）目からあふれた目薬はティッシュなどでふいてください

9）Apply gentle pressure to the bridge of the nose .
