眼軟膏(eye ointment)の説明の仕方、使い方

カナダの薬局で働いていてよく聞かれる質問のひとつ、どうやってこのeye ointment 使えばいいのですか？

そうですよね〜眼の中に固形物を入れるってなんかすごい違和感ですよね。eye ointment は基本的に眼瞼（まぶた、眼のはし）に塗る感じで使うタイプの薬なので眼の中に入れるというより眼の端に薬を塗る感じで使います。

 How can I use eye ointment?

１）眼軟膏の使い方の説明

１）Wash hands 　手を洗ってください

２）Carefully remove the bottle cap　眼軟膏のキャップをとってください

3) Tilt your head back or lie down

頭を後ろにかたむけるか寝転んでください。

4) While your eyes are open,gently pull down on the lower eyelid to form a pouch with one hand.Hold eye ointment almost horizontally in your other hand ,approaching your eye form the side　

目を開けたままで下まぶたをそっと下に引っ張ってポーチを作ってください。もう一方の手で眼軟膏を目の端のほうにもってきてください。

5) Look upwards by moving your eyes only.

眼だけをうごかして上をみてください。

6) Place around 1cm of ointment into the pouch of the lower eyelid.It is not necessary to place the ointment along the entire length of the pouch.

下まぶたのポーチに眼軟膏を１cmほど入れてください。下まぶたのポーチ全部に入れる必要はありません。

7) Gently close the eye for 1 to 2 minutes and roll the eyeball in all direction.

ゆっくりと眼を閉じてください。１〜２分眼を閉じてください。閉じたまま眼を全体的に動かしてください。

8) With a tissue, wipe any excess ointment

あふれた軟膏はティッシュなどでふきとってください

9) Replace the container cap.

　キャップをしめてください。

10) After the ointment is used,vision might be blurred for a few minutes.Do not drive.

　眼軟膏を使った後、眼が数分かすむことがあるので、運転などはさけましょう。

11) Wash hands

２）２種類以上の眼軟膏を処方された場合

２種類以上の眼軟膏を処方された場合は、１０分以上間隔をあけてください。

If different type of ointment are to be used, wait at least 10 minutes before using the second one.

3)　目薬と軟膏を処方された場合

はじめに目薬を使用して、５分以上待ってから眼軟膏を使用してください。

If both an ointment and eye drop are used,use the eye drop first.Wait at least five minutes before using the ointment.

Maxidex
